On 14 May 2016 during Fetish Summit – the first in the history of fetish movement in Poland informal meeting of opinion leaders of fetish groups from various towns of Poland – a set of serious decisions on development of the fetish movement were taken. In the discussion participants of Fetish Summit unanimously decided to publish the Open Letter of the following wording:
To the Secretary
European Confederation Motorcycle Club (ECMC)
Mr. Daniel Dumont
Avenue de l’Heliport 32/35
1000 Bruxelles, Belgium
We, the undersigned members of the Polish fetish community acting to its benefit for a number of years and acting to the benefit not only of the fetish movement in Poland but also ECMC, as an organization for fetish groups from throughout Europe, hereby ask ECMC Board to immediately verify the current actions undertaken by the Board of the Leather Poland Association (SLP) with regard to organization of General Meeting of ECMC (ECMC AGM) and Mister Leather Europe 2017 Contest in Poland.
Observing continuous changes on the positions of SLP Board and lack of any initiative pertaining to organization of such large events as ECMC AGM and Mister Leather Europe Contest, we believe that it is impossible to organize such an undertaking in the time to come.
So far actions taken by Leather Poland Association with respect to integrating leather-fetish enthusiasts have been limited to a few private events. Lack of ideas related to promotion and organization was conspicuous during recent Mister Leather Poland 2016 Contest. What is surprising is the fact that this important event was not an independent enterprise but instead was “attached” to one of the local events, held in Warsaw, being totally unrelated to the fetish community.
Aside from a negative opinion given by some LGBTIQ groups, a special attention must be paid to considerable formal and legal negligence with regard to functioning of the Association, including lack of regular data update in the National Court Register, lack of widely available information on the Association’s actions, failure to publish annual reports and finance-related issues – to say the least. According to the signatories of this letter, in the light of such issues it is impossible for Leather Poland Association to be able to organize ECMC AGM and Mister Leather Europe 2017 Contest in Poland smoothly and effectively. On my own behalf and on behalf of the undersigned, as well as our community, we request you to conduct an audit in Leather Poland Association immediately, and if the audit proves to indicate a negative result, to deprive it from the right to organize Mister Leather Europe 2017 Contest.
Please be advised that the current Mister Leather Poland 2016 – Maciej Chojnacki – is still representing our leather and fetish community and we do support all his actions aiming to unite and develop the fetish movement in Poland.
